Might be his name on the inside of the belt personalized to prevent mixup. Ive been looking for the leather . Tough to find . Honest looking to me. I prefer the O&C type made version , but those nickle buckles in an maker are a tough nut to crack in finding them ,this one is very nice.

Croupon is the leather quality (higher quality available in the 30's), not someone's name.
The buckle is an Overhoff. The marking is different than his earlier O&C to comply with RZM regulations.

                            The buckle is original.
                            The leather belt is original
The cross strap looks good as well, and maker 1 is well known to have produced SS cross straps.
