    Buckle & Belt Questions

    Hello,

About a year ago I got this belt and buckle. I do not know much about it since it came with a Waffenrock that I bought. I'm going to buy a better belt and buckle for my waffenrock. That now leaves me to find a home for this belt and buckle. Would this belt be considered an officers belt, infantry mans belt, or both? I have a newly purchased set of Y straps that I thought it could go with, would this work? How about the buckle.

    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

I'm also looking for a good bread bag and gas mask to go with this setup and any leads would be appreciated.

                  Thanks,
                  Eric

                    Hello Eric,
Your Heer buckle is the EM/NCO parade/walking out buckle made in two parts. You'd better look for an EM/NCO service/combat buckle made of olive green/Feldgrau/Grey painted steel. Your belt is nice...keep it for your dispay.
You will easily find a middle war breadbag and Gasmask set....there are still a lot a them on the market....

Yep, nice belt and buckle. I'd hang on to the buckle and find a correct green/gray buckle to go with the belt.

How about a buckle like this one?

That would fit just as well as a steel one. The aluminium field-grey version was made 1936 -40, but many were still worn into the later war years. The paint came off easily, so this would be good if you want a "been there" ensemble.

BTW, the walking-out buckle shown in the first posts is just beautiful!

                              Best regards,
                              Karl
