    Attached are images of the same design of buckle (by Overhoff again), although it is clearly nickle silver over brass.

      I quite agree with David in that the process of nickel silver over steel and nickel silver over brass were used. I too have the nickel silver over brass with the fading of the nickel silver over time.

      A point of reference with the buckle David has shown, some of you veteran WAF buckle collectors know from previous threads a few years back that David and I hold the only known SA buckles with RZM marked prongs. With newer members on board perhaps there are more out there and if so please show photos!
