General´s golden claw belt!

Gents,

I´m looking for pictures of golden Wehrmachts-General´s claw-belts. If someone has one in his collection or knows a retailer that has one to sell, let me know, I will pay nearly every price for such a belt!

they had been brown colored and 50mm wide.. a lot of them had had no RZM-markings.

So there's no different between this very often to find political leader belt and the very rare General-belt.

Sounds interesting. But where is the difference between political leader and General?

Would anyone be so kind and show some reference pictures? Where are the guys with the General- tunics..?

Here is an officer's double, open-claw buckle - golden-coloured (but I think brass). I thought it was KM-Coastal Artillery, but stand to be corrected. The belt is maker-marked, but not the buckle. Could a General of the Heer possibly have worn it?

Here is another officer's open-claw buckle, similar to the type referenced by "musketeer" above, albeit not "gold". It is the wider, early (1934-1940) type that was authorized for both political and military wear (this one for company and field grade ranks). The belt measures 57mm wide and the buckle 75mm wide. It is "RZM 110"-marked (items prior to 1934 were not RZM-marked). If the buckle were to be gold, then I suppose a General could wear it. Comments?

Great photos, that help! What´s the width of this belt? Which time periode?

Thanks, Jack. The leather belt with the "golden buckle" measures approximately 42mm wide with a thin, impressed line around the outside perimeter. The full length is approximately 44 inches. The buckle measures 59mm x 44mm and, as you can see, has a very gold tone. The obverse has a pebbled texture while the reverse is smooth. The belt is stamped "CROUPON / C.O.G. Nr.56". Time period I don't know on this one. Maybe some other forum member can say. I have added a couple more pictures.

Regarding my buckle shown in #s 4, 7 & 8 above, it has been suggested that this might be a pre-war "Bundesgrenzschutz - BGS" belt.

I would appreciate it if someone who knows about belts could please comment. It would be nice to know for sure what I have here....ie, KM-Kuesten-Artillerie; BGS; political....or ?

I have a 55 mm wide standard brown general officer belt with a golden standard 70 mm double-claw buckle, which is not made of zinc or aluminium but of Buntmetall, a really heavy piece. No stamps on belt or buckle.

Will make some pics next week, no time now, sorry.

Here come the promised pics of my dark brown General belt with Buntmetall buckle. Unfortunately, it has two sets of extra holes behind the seven original ones. Period done, I believe.

The holster in the background is an Akah holster for a 7.65mm PPK which perfectly matches the belt.
