    Hello Alex,

I like what I see. An officer's Fire Defense buckle for the State Thuringen.

Dear Dan Hello and Thanks for Your comments.
I wasn't comfortable with those one-side cut out prongs.

      Alex.

I think it's fine too...probably an Overhoff made piece! If I had the chance - I'd go for it!
        Cheers!

          Hello All,

I do not like the counterfastenings...
On the right side... it is so small !?

The rivet shell is very short.

I am glad about lateral pictures!

I have doubt... You not ???

          Thank you !

          With the best greetings

          Raphael

Sorry Alex, a very questionable buckle in my eyes. It looks not like the known originals, but very similar to the fakes.

By the way, the buckle is for all ranks of the fire figthers...

I owe Alex an apology for not replying back sooner. Both Christian and Raphael point out some key take-aways from the buckle posted. I did not look closely at the prongs and from further review I can see where they "entertain doubt". Also, from the reverse it is not a typical set up as one would normally see from this type buckle. There should be a permanent crimp on right side buckle keeper rather than both being open. I do not have any issues with the obverse design.

With this being said, I must admit and extend an apology to Alex for my haste assessment of the posted buckle.
