Here is a clutch of J-S buckles that I hope may be of interest to some and I think that still, this is a very collectible family of buckles.
The first buckle is not often encountered and for many, has been seen and viewed in the past as a fantasy or fake. It is and in my opinion quite original/period and this quite distinctive box is encountered at times, with various tabbed emblems, including those relating to the military.
The second and third buckle are of course well documented and still, should not be dismissed.
The fourth buckle however is very odd fellow by the strange composite and grim colour metal that both the box and roundel display. I do however hold other non J-S buckles that have a similar grey, unattractive and lack of life, finish.
Regards,
David
