    A recent and rare acquisition

Just picked up this buckle. For those that know how tough it is to find the Weimar period Red Cross Officer's buckles w/the laurel leaves, this one (the 2nd pattern, w/oak leaves) is much tougher to find . In fact this is the first one I have ever encountered. And it is in gold to boot. I am including two photos of a silver and gold 1st pattern RC for comparison.

          Hello,
I have another variant officer buckle that is silver with laurel leaf wreath and a red enamelled cross in the center. It looks to be from the 1920s or 30s. I cannot post pics though.

                Sven,

Nice buckle set. The belt on mine is very similar in construction but w/out the DRK stamping.
