Parade belt from a General -need help!-

Hello!

I´m not an equipment collector, so I need your most welcome on this belt for a General.
Got this one some month ago from a widow here in my town. Our familys knows each other more than 40 years. The belt comes with a bigger group of personal items (documents, awards, pistol...) from a Generalleutnant who´s daughter in law, this widow was. I also know this General, he died in the 70ies as I was a schoolkid.

I had to pay for all the items not more than a "symbolic" price, because the widow don´t want money from me. But now I had to insure this items and I don´t know the price range for some items.

My question: Is there any collector, who can tell me a normal collector price for such a belt? Made some investigation in the net, but don´t found one........

A very nice Generals buckle and in near mint condition. I have one identical but with some wear on the eagles feathers. You do not see many of these around. I always felt that $600.00 was a fair price on mine. In the condition yours is in I would add $150-200 more on too the price. I would be interested to hear from the other forum members what there read on these prices are.

Very nice indeed!!

I would rate it a little bit higher than Bill. The generals are not easy to find. Many times the price is not less than 1000 $, even from a collector.

1000 is a fair colectors price.

Personally, I would offer 1500 if there are some papers or pictures of the General.

I saw one at a show this weekend, it was offered for 650 dollars and had a round box that the piece was stored in with top--original to the piece, I was tempted to buy the piece but bought some SS items instead, but I would agree the price varies depending on what dealer has it, I have even seen asking prices of over 1000 dollars for these,
