Next is a pre-WW2 Luft buckle with the crank arm catch. It has a tropical tan paint remaining on the outside. The leather tab is maker marked and has a unit mark.

Hello Marc Nice buckles. I love the tab on the second buckle. The first buckle doesn't look tropical. It might be the photo but here's my HA 42 tropical for comparison. Kirby

                            Hi Kirby,
The first buckle is a '42 dated green painted Hermann Aurich(sp??) buckle like yours. My photos are older ones. I could never get the lighting right to get good color or details to come out. Getting better though. I also have the tan painted version somewhere in my mess! Sweet buckle you have there.
                            Cheers!
                            Marc
