thanks for sharing..I am not an army pro, but there are a few things about this buckle that if I saw it at a show would steer me clear of it. The stamping quality is low even for mid/late war. The paint looks strange to me (could be the lighting).and the buckle ears are of a bend i have never seen before. I am very interested as to what the others have to say..
Ben do you have a Julius Kremp 43 Heer buckle to post??
Good bad or indifferent we learn from ebery post! thanks again for sharing..

Chad/Ron, hi guys buckle is a typical Kremp buckle, look at the big ears and the distinct eagle, I have enclosed two example for you to look at, a 43 like Rons and a 41 with tab

                        Ben,

Nice tabbed buckle, but what is the white stuff? It is driving me crazy to see it on such a nice buckle.

                        Thanks,

                        Frank

thank you for the pics and clearing that up!! I have to believe that the original buckle postedwas stamped from near worn out dies... did you notice the flaw in the rope at 9 o clock ont he first buckle and the soft edges of all the lines ..especially the head.. These ears are totally new to me..they were the first thing that threw me off!! thank you for posting the nice comparison..Chad
