Hello Picked this up with a bunch of stuff at a gun show today. I though it was a early unmarked nickel. When I checked it out closer I found it's marked RZM 50 under the bar and prongs. this is a early R. Sieper & Sohne. I know Chad has a buckle like this but the marks on his are larger and closer togeather. Kirby

a nice buckle.. I too have made the mistake of thinking a buckle was unmarked, to later find a marking under the prong bar or on the side flap of the buckle
I actually have 4 of these buckles. 2 HJ and 2 DJ my HJ nickel over steel has the same marking as yours all the rest are the closer together type.I would speculate that your marking is the later of the two since it is the same as the nickel over steel which was later than the solid nickel.. I wish Seiper had more markings... I cant recall ever encountering a KH/38 or a UE/37.....It is almost as if they went from unmarked buckles to RZM 50 to M4/38 ... at least with youth buckles... I will post pics of all of them tomorrow.. Chad
