I agree with Rick that this looks to be an original but because of the photos provided further verification on the paint is needed- a must before I would purchase. I err on the side of caution giving a price range when I cannot confirm originality.

Hi nzef1940,
Seems to be good one, I like the overall patina and had certainly been field repainted as the the prong bar is also tan.
I post my luft trop one for comparison, mine seems darker than yours.
Hope it can help.

I do not see any traces of blu paint under, so I believe it factory painted.

I own also a Luft tropical buckle with web-tab made by Haarmann..but the paint looks different to the both buckles.
