    DJ buckle M4/34

Hey gang! Here's one that came in along with a HJ Steel painted buckle. I'm quite happy to add this one to the colletion because of it's strange markings. I'd like to thank Chad for taking some time out to help me with this one. I didn't recognize the buckle prongs and seeing the markings inside the rune was a first for me!
Thanks Chad man! This buckle (and the belt that came with it) are a welcome addition to the collection!

    Cheers!

Here's a quick shot of the belt that came with it. A little stiff but no cracks. Size 90. And a shot of the prongs....the blunt end threw me at first!

Also thought I'd post a group shot of all my reg. size DJ buckles. I have a couple of "smallies" as well but they are in another case.

    Cheers gang!

Hey Gang...Got some more info on the maker of this buckle by Sturm33. I guess the manufacturer of the buckle is Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen (RZM34 M1/34). If you compare your buckle with a RZM 34 buckle you can see the same catch and prongs. I guess this firm started using M4/34 stampings assuming it would get the same number as its M1 designation.

Just another example of the confusion that reigned supreme when the "M" licences were first being issued. Karl Wurster had no M4 license but he had stamped it for a while.

I find that quite interesting - I had no idea. Danke Heiko! Very interesting indeed!
