    Hello, it is a steel nickel plated buckle. Does anybody know how to clean it??

        Hello Sergey,

        your HJ buckle is in nice condition with a beautiful patina, why to clean it ?

        As you know I belong to the party "leave them as found" and my suggestion is obvious.

          Guys the nickel has some black spots and I decided not bad to clean it.

            I'm sorry for my persistence, but a steel nickeled buckle rarely is free from rust spots.

                OK, to prevent from rust you may use vaseline oil (absolutely not oil for gun).
