smooth KM buckle made by H. Arld

I am very astonished about this buckle.

Have you ever seen a smoth ALU buckle mad by H. Arld ?

Sorry but for me it looks like that some has the granulated surface ground down with sandpaper.
Or and I think it looks that way..somebody has filled up the peppled surface with filler and the result is an uneven surface

What do you think about it?

                  Hello,

I personally think the leather tab is the only original part : the buckle is probably a cast repro gold painted to simulate a KM one, the stitching both on tab and belt appear post war made, belt hook is suspect as well.

                  Best

                  Ric

Very funny this buckle, it has a smooth appearance yet the eagle is similar to the H Arld Alu eagle, does anyone have another one?

To my knowledge the only manufacturer who made gold plated aluminium buckles was RS&S. To me this buckle is a fake and the belt a good one.

                        very strange...

only the roundel is worn and no stripes around on the face...

the "holes" in the surface are anodized too..

                        I don't like it

                        regards

Hi what it looks to me is that someone has made a KM buckle out of a HEER or COASTAL DEFENCE HA buckle more likely the COASTAL DEFENCE which would explain the KM stamp on the tab...... they removed the origional paint by buffing/sanding away the pebbelling until smooth and then painted it gold but they have not done a very good job of itimo ....... cheers scott.

                              f

tab real, buckle cocked up fake in my opinion it looks like the finish of an old cars bodywork that has been rubbed down then filled then painted, the roundel seems lower than surrounding areas probably due to the filler, being in the motor trade i have seen the same finish rgds dave
