I was sent this picture and description of a buckle from a friend of mine. This is the only picture he sent along with the description which follows. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is his description-
Since you will be unable to read the writing on the buckle here it is. At the face of a clock starting at 9:00 clockwise around to 3:00 it reads EINIGKEIT then starting at 9:00 counter clockwise reads RECHT . FREIHEIT. It has only those three words and a distinct dot is beteen each word. The buckle looks and feels like silver. On the back it is stamped on the flat skirt a triangle with something in it and numbers I'm unsure of 7 / 5 8 and it is finely pebbled on the front except in the circle with the eagle. I hope it's German. I really like it.
Hopefully you can see the buckle good enough to tell me what it is. It's in real good shape and a soldier's name pinned inside the heavy flap behind the buckle. His name is K. H. Schweppe. Also on the heavy flap behind the buckle it has 8-64-41. On the clip on the other end of the belt is a diamond stamped inside OLC.
I will thank you in advance for my friend.
Regards,
Eric
