    A first on and for the WH award forum! An unknown SS buckle!!!

    Hello All,
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o>
    I touch I would share this one with all of you....
    <o></o>
    As the day of my departure at sea gets closer and I’m packing my buckles, I think a little present to the WH award buckle forum is appropriate....
    <o></o>
    As far as I know, this marking has never been seen nor discussed on the forum...

    I always had more fun in shearing good things, than keeping jealous secrets... some of you know this. Unfortunately I lost this state of mind a few years ago when some people’s ego took over the fun... I do not exclude myself from these people! I’m as guilty as others.
    It is time to let go, as I said already so many times during the past years; there is life after the SS buckles.... believe me!
    <o></o>
    Enjoy!
    <o></o>
    Marc

                There is still several SS buckles which were never discussed on the Forums. Like the early Berg and Nolte's or the few made in the Free City of Danzig to highlight just a few. But it is very good to know this! So we finally can start by posting those. Of course with no stupid Registered patent or other text on it.

                I let you comment all of them for obvious reasons

                Another 36/44

                              I need to clarify things: Those two buckles (36/44 and Proto) do NOT belong to me! They belong to Marc Verstraete! The 36/44 I posted was sent to me several weeks ago and my understanding is that was the first one he obtained. see

                              For the proto I have those photos (taken by Marc as well) since 2002. Much longer than the 36/44 but their posting was absolutely forbidden by him for whatever reason. By respect to his wish I did not break this prohibition even if I talked about it in several posts regarding who could be maker 822 (since we needed to understand why this name was retained over others). I had no instructions for the 36/44 but I kept it silent by respect as well., like I am still doing for few other buckles.

                              But since Marc explicitely stated he finally changed his mind, I do no longer see any reason to continue hidding those any more.
