    LW aluminum buckle by Ulbricht

    I have a buckle made by Ulbricht in Vienna. I haven't seen this maker before... is it a scarce maker?

      It most certainly is, a very rare maker mark Heinrich Ulbrichts, wish I could find a Heer buckle with this maker mark, I would bite your arm off to buy it

        Mmm, interesting, I have just seen a pic of the rear of this buckle on the Estand, looks like it has Assmann prongs Any other comments?

          Correct Ben...it is an Assmann buckle.. and Ulbricht seems to be the retailer.
          I've some Asssmann buckles in my collection and the typical Assmann Eagle is to be seen

              So how does this mark affect the value of the buckle (if at all)?

              Also, was this a common practice for a retailer to stamp the tab with their details although the buckle was made by another company?
