I hope it is not the same marking as that one (O&C GES.GESCH.) since it does not bring us nowhere ...
I still do not know who is the maker. My only "possible" lead (and a very slim lead) is maybe Richard Sieper.

No, I do not believe so at all. First because there was no reason for Overhoff to produce later / before those marked ones some unmarked (the "fat eagle" unmarked are numerous but do we know at least one early Overhoff not marked??). Second most, if not all, early Overhoff have been fold using the same folding tool and cut with the same cutting tool (which are both different that for the "fat eagle"). Third, there is (at least) another early SS buckle made by another maker which also bears the marking "O&C ges.gesch." - granted not made by Overhoff!! Last, but not least, we found many Overhoff marking variants from 1931 to 1936 but still the exact same design. There was no need for him to change: he had the pattent!

Hmmm, interesting JP...maybe then other makers were being sneaky.

Hi Ric, here is a picture of the back, the top and bottom are bent from being on another belt but they could be bent back with minor effort...I left it as I found it yesterday....I was too sick to leave the house for 4 days, then I forced myself to get out and go look for some goodies.

Well I just believe they were paying royalties to Overhoff or at least had an agreement with the Overhoff company. We still have to keep in mind this was probably a civil / commercial matter, nothing else. Anyway, if some are marked as such we will likely find one (when??) with true maker's mark.
