    Hi guys,

Here is a recent addition to the collection. First one I have obtained with a logo.

    Regards to all,

        Stu,

Very nice NSDAP Youth buckle. These are the 35mm variety and becoming increasingly difficult to come by? L&F has a very distinct eagle head and a more defined wing than many of the others.

I have the similar buckle that you have posted and another with the silver roundle. I am sure David N. has many others as well.

The same as the one you posted -

                    Couple more

                    Hi Dan,

Thanks for showing those others of yours. I have a couple more myself including a "High Eagle" type. I'm sure David N. has many others as well. In fact he has been of great assistance to me with my buckle collection as it has developed. Thanks David!

Here are a couple more of mine. First the "High Eagle" then the silver roundel.

                    Regards,
                    Stu

Can someone tell me about the belt construction and keeper type for these mini buckles? And maybe more info on exactly who wore them. I have a nice buckle, which I assumed to Be SA. It is an example very much like the one at the top of this thread. Does anyone have images of these in use?

These 35mm SA design buckles are best described as "NSDAP Jugend" from the early days of the NSDAP youth movement when under charge of the SA. Some are design matches to their 45mm "big brother" SA buckles and some designs are distinct to the 35mm buckles. This would then phase into Hitler Jugend/HJ and DJ buckles. If your example resembles the one at the begining of this thread and has the "LuF" marking on the reverse, it is by maker Linden und Funke.

I don't have a photo of one of these 35mm buckles in wear at the moment but they are not hard to find. Perhaps someone has a period photo of one in wear or I'm sure a net search will turn something up. Post your photos here for more input from the other guys and feel free to PM me if you want.

                          Best,
                          Adam

So my next question is- can anyone supply an image of how the clasp is constructed? Better still would be a source of originals. My 10 year old is keen on portraying an early DJ or similar for reinacting and living history events. Right now I am seeing how much original kit I can obtain at reasonable prices, then Repro the rest. We also are trying to source a youth visor/crusher cap repro, and have had no luck at all. Any help appreciated
