Scott I would wait until Ric, David, or Dan have there say before you decide mate, the books are good but not always right, even Angolia or Nash, old saying, "it says Good Year on my tyres, but it hasn't been so far" just wait and see what others say first before you buy

I must side with the others on this buckle not being pre-1945. There is no marking on any other HA buckle similar to the one shown here or the one depicted in Angolia's book.

Hello, I used to own such buckle in my collection but took it out years ago, it is indeed a fake.
Books are not always 100% accurate you know, even Angolia make mistakes....
Until les than 10 years ago, buckles where cheap, especially all what was not SS and not military, so “maybe good or bad” buckles where just left in the collection, they where worth only a few $ anyways. Now it is different, every piece is carefully scrutinised as the cost lots of money.
