    Marked leather unmarked metal.

I just picked up a Wehrmacht, GOTT MIT UNS, belt and buckle. The buckle with minor wear over high eagle feathers, has no makers marks on metal that I can see. The leather tab does have B.HAARMANN LUDENSCHEID 1940 within oval as per normal. Green gone on front and partly there on reverse. Made of steel, magnet sticks.
The belt has 66 along it's length and large 110 where it meets buckle when attached. There was oxidation where belt and buckle met.
Does the buckle sound historically correct?

Hello and welcome to the forum, the buckle sounds ok, pictures would be good if you had any. With the belt it may have been shortened at some point, pictures would tell all

If marked 110...that represents the CM length of the belt...it must have been shortened at one point. Haarmann is a well known maker...Buckle sounds good to me...post pics if you can!
        Cheers!
