Restrained and well said Ric !
A classic ""...here is few specialists in buckles..."
The WA Belts and Buckles Forum is still and always will be the premier, most authoritative and constantly fraternally inclined, international discussion platform in relation to German belt buckles circa 1914/1945.
Regards,
David

not only your war, but I would say better an European war that involved all the World .
That said, the Nazi buckles were made by Germans for Germans, so if I have to rise someone "ueber alles" in the knowledge, they are : now, let's go back to collecting subjects.

Dear Jean-Pierre
It is as always and based on past correspondence, a sheer delight and near spiritual experience to be the recipient of any pearls of wisdom from yourself.
In the absence of any comments whatsoever from either one of the forum moderators or an association member, I will and without question accept that your response is reasonable, balanced and totally correct.
Thankyou and as the moderator of another belts and buckles forum, for showing me the error of my ways when I voiced the opinion that I thought that the Wehrmacht Awards Belts and Buckles forum was the premier international discussion platform for German belt buckles. How silly of me !
Anyway, I do so hope that you have now fully recovered after the obvious distress and concern for the forum that I caused you, when you stated that my reply was the worst words that you had heard in years.
Regards and best wishes,
David

Hello David & all the Forum members,
I take the occasion of your reply, that I was waiting for, to post my opinion.
First I have to say that I did contact JP right after his post to better understand the reason of his criticism which, I have to admit, has also surprised me.
But as I guessed, the true intent is pro-Forum, even if apparently appears the opposite : we can't forget he started (and built) this Forum being the first Moderator .
Since I think the best way to illustrate JP's thought is to report the concepts I did read by his email, here's :
"I mean it is time to get back on earth!....There is other forums around where there is even more reliable informations and real nice behavior meant to eally help. You know this since you participate at one in Italy and I do in one from France...... Just piss off others and they will rather quickly suck whatever they can from the WAF forum without giving nothing in return.... Remaining humble is the key if we want to receive....The idea was the point of concern, not the person who did promote the idea...."
I personally agree with him, but on the other end I consider David's post simply an answer to the wrong approach of the member SKY MARSHAL.
Btw, from time to time I take a look to other Forums, since many respectable WAF members appear MODs there and I verify with pleasure that WAF remains a reliable source after all.
Anyway as active Mod, we all know Marc is very busy, must consider JP's criticism towards myself as well and I accept it :
"...I would say it is the best Ebay safe harbour for who does not want to learn anything by himself...."
Without doubt nowadays many members want simply a quick answer to save their money, but WAF must remain a discussion platform for whoever wants to improve his own knowledge and to reach this target the key members are irreplaceable.....Mods included !
Best
