    Here is your key. A 822/38 aluminum is very common with the one with large numbers been the scarcer of the 3 Types made and an early Overhoff is also very common depending of its marking (there was at least 11 different markings). Other than that, it really depends of the collector. A NS buckle is considered as Allgemeine SS only when an aluminum SS buckle can be sold for Allgemeine SS or for SS-VT / TV / Waffen SS.

        You are welcome. I personnaly enjoy more early NS SS buckles than any other. Makers are numerous and there is around so many we still need to find ...

            I like them all, but my favorite ones are the one that have the combat worn look to them as opposed to taken off the suppy shelf. Just my opinion

                Yes I do. I have owned that buckle for over 30 years and I am 43 years old. If I sold off everything, I would probably still keep that buckle.
