1st pattern LW belt & buckle - Interesting marks?

    Happy New Year everyone

I've got here a nice original 1st pattern Luftwaffe belt and buckle. The makers mark on the tab is Wilh Deumer, Ludensheid 1936 and the belt is dated 1938. The interesting thing is that the tab and belt are both marked up the same. I guess they are some kind of unit marks they read:

    FL.H.Komp
    Ln.Sch. Vers.Abt.

If anyone knows what these marks mean then please don't hesitate to enlighten me.

Fantastic set Erwin, almost impossible to find a matching set like this nowadays! The closest I have is a buckle and bayonet frog both marked to II./Z.G.-76, a very famous Bf-110 unit whose planes had sharkmouths painted on them. Fl.H. Komp would be Airfield Command; I'm not sure what Ln is but SCh is Schule. I think the other abbreviations are for "Versuchs Abteilung"

Thanks for that Gene, so I suppose that the marks have something to do with a luftwaffe school, someone suggested a while ago that it might have something to do with search lights or radios.

Nice set and a rare buckle maker.

          L.n.Sch. Vers.Abt. = Luft-Nachrichten Schule Versorgungs Abteilung

This unit had to organize and transport all the stuff, which need a Radio operator school.

            Thanks for that Musketeer

I never knew deumer made belt buckles I thought they were just award badge specialists, this is the only deumer buckle i've seen so I guess there quite rare. I bought this belt and buckle off a local antique telephone dealer because it was a first pattern LW buckle I thought I paid a bit to much for it, it was only when I got home that I realised it had so many markings on it! so I suppose it was worth it.
