    DRK Buckle

    Hi Team,
Can I get some opinions on this buckle? It is certainly OK - made of Kreigsmetal with all the wear etc I'd expect. I am told, though, that the broken wreath is a less common pattern?
Any iformation will be well received!
    Regards,
    Mark.

      Hi there,
Thats the 1st pattern DRK buckle that was used from 1936-37, they are worth a bit more than your standard 2nd pattern DRK buckle.

      Cheers Erwin

        Hi Mark

Your buckle is unfortunately a repro!

Is the buckle really made from zinc? I think you should prove it with a magnet (I expect steel)!

        Regards,
        Guido

          Thanks Guys,
The buckle is definately made from an alloy composite - but not the light weight type. Does that help??
          Cheers!
          Mark.

Guido is right : the DRK buckle is a well known repro surfacing the market since years.

            Regards
