    estand belt for discussion

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=263001

Hi guys - here is a belt to discuss - my opinion is pretty clear - not a WW2 period belt - rough side of leather to inside, tonque resewn. Cant see hook to say anything about it

      Hello Guys,

I agree the belt is not a standard combat one, I suggest to wait for hook close-ups (both sides) to give a definitive answer

        Hello,
the leather is odd, the tongue seems to be restitched, but the most important issue i can see here is the nine pair of holes for adjusting the size...usually there are only seven pair on combat/service WWII lgerman belts...as far as i know....(some late war belts with no tongue have only six pair of holes).

                Hello!

The main giveaway of this belt is the rough inner surface. Normally it should be smooth on Wehrmacht belts.

                Regards,
                Guido

In this case I would take a look under the tongue that holds the hook. There you should find a surface in its pristinely condition.
Can you provide us with images, please?

                    Regards,
                    Guido

no... there is no sucha way..
lether on german combat belts (and gear) was made with rough side to outside and that side was painted..

the smooth side was left unpainted.
Your belt is exactly upside down - just like post war BW belts etc.
