Hello Ron,

Very nice early Luft buckle and also a very rare maker as the leather points out. Karl Bock is one I don't have in my collection or any information on so I will need to keep an eye out for this one. Can you tell me if the leather states Oberstein?

Has anyone else have a Karl Bock buckle and if he manufactured other wares? This is perhaps one of the many cottage makers and/or perhaps had a more prominant role during the WWI or earlier times as metal or leather maker.

The r is weak, and the s virtually non-existant. My guess would be Oberstein, but to be honest.....without you having said it, I might not have guessed Oberstein; however, with a lot of turning and re-positioning to get different light angles with the eye loupe.........I would say Oberstein.
