I agree with rob..the three inline solder points in conjunction with the cut on the prongs leads me to believe it is modern..Chad

There is some speculation among collectors of Weimar period buckles that these never existed. I have only seen one in all my years of colecting that I thought may have been good as it had all the paint to the center piece as well an unmarked tab? Since these and other quasi-military/political buckles rarely had tabs this was a red flag. However, it looked good. I unfortunately cannot locate the photo I pulled off of ebay. Maybe Christian or Marc or? can jump in on this as well.
