Hi Jean Pierre, I think so, because in Russia you can buy it as copy and also it have some difference in the details from original on my sight. For example there is no circle under the marks, which is usually on original. And line in mark 36/43 might be under coner on my sight. All marks are not clear.

Well, this one does not look like the available current copies of zinc SS officer buckles. If this is one, I can tell that there is nothing visible saying so from those photos.
All other points you raised are totally normal (and so not a clue for fake) for SS Officer ZINC buckles made by Overhoff in 1942/43. Features are different when those buckles are compared to aluminum SS Officer buckles from the same maker.
So, as I said, nothing to let supposed this one is a copy based on those photos.Jean Pierre Redeuilh

Sergey,
As I said, I did not see anything wrong with this buckle looking at those photos. If it is a fake (everything is possible those days) fakers can be happy, as they can hurt buyers who are purchasing from photos sent.
Here is my 100% mint 36/43 (not fake guaranteed)Attached FilesJean Pierre Redeuilh

SS Officers Buckle
Thanks for the support of the knowledgable buckle guys out there. Just saw the post. This buckle is absolutely original as I owned it twenty years ago and though I didn't put it the write up on my site was veteran purchased by me for $25. It is, as with anything I sell, guaranteed forever to be 100% original. I sure wish some of you guys would not make an opinion without having any knowledge of what your looking at.
Warm Regards,
Gailen David

I could not agree more with the opinions of JP and Pieter. An Absolutely good buckle and extremely difficult to find w/nearly 100% of the silver paint to the front. Personnaly I think Gailen is under priced on this buckle. And I also agree with Gailen that one should not make statements when they are not sure of what they are talking about.
