    1942 Aluminium Buckle

Hi guys, just came across this one looking through the sites (like you do). A Richard Sieper buckle in Aluminium with a 1942 dated tab quite novel and very interesting. Any opinions anyone?

OK...I think we've to write the history new..
Until now, I thought the production of ALU-buckles for the Wehrmacht stopped 1940..
But now I know.. it continues..

Perhaps ..one fine day we'll find a Wehrmacht-Alu buckle with a 1947 dated tab..

I sincerely don't think so, or at least that buckle does not prove it.

By the pics the prongs look by steel, are we sure the tab was not post war added ?

My thinking Ric, I just wondered (or hoped ) someone might drag out another 42 dated Alu buckle better piocs would be good of the tab, stitching and prongs but I put this on a thread out of interest really
