Matching unit marked belt & buckle.

Hey guys I really like this set...the fact that the belt is dated 1916 and the buckle dated 1936! Any of you unit experts out there can give me any information on the history of this. Was it the 4th/ before the 5th/?
    Thanks

    Hello Rick,
    nice set....
I guess 4th battery was stamped before 5th battery....
the following infos are from Lexikon der Wehrmacht

    Artillerie-Regiment 53

Oktober 1935 in Ansbach aufgestellt.

Oktober 1935 in Ansbach aufgestellt. Die Abteilung war dem XIII. Armeekorps unterstellt.

      that's right..the 4th or 5th battery artillery regiment 53

and the 4 or 5th battery belongs to the 2.department of the regiment 53.
      here's the history:

II. department (4.-6 gets motorized . battery.)

      1st list:

      * 15-10-1935, peace location Ansbach, defence circle XIII; 14.2.1940 the 5th and 6th battery
unarmed, since then 3 batteries 10 cm cannons; Destroyed January 1943 in Stalingrad; 10.5.43.
built again; 1.7.1943 became in Italy IV./artillery regiment 33 of 15th tank grenadier Division.

      2nd insinuation:

Korpstruppe XIII. army corps; 1940 army troop: The west, Russia south (1. 43 Stalingrad.)

Giving life to an old thread...I have been looking for similar ones to this. Anyone have any examples to show?
I like that this ones belt is WW1 dated! Probably never issued until later.
