    Unmarked SS EM Buckle

Based on these 2 photos can anyone confirm this as real or not? If it has possibilities I may can get more photos. Thanks for any opinions.

I will let others who are stronger in the SS buckle field reply but IMHO it is one I would not purchase. I don't like the re-solder of the u-catch nor do I like the square like prongs.

Could it be that the buckle corpus is magnetic?

            Hello Richard,

the SS buckle posted is a well known (by specialized collectors) original pre-RZM : it's named "fat eagle" for the very distinct bird.
            It's made by nickel silvered.

            Best

            Ric

Same as this one. Many others were already posted in this forum since it is not a rare buckle. Whoever the maker was, he did produce a large quantity of those, attesting a well known one. Bob Hirtz was even able to get one marked O&C ges.gesch. and posted photos as well. This marking O&C ges. gesch. did not mean the buckle was made by Overhoff, did not mean it was "distributed / sold" by Overhoff, but just that Overhoff had the design patent.
