Late war steel Heer buckle Original or a good fake??

    Hi ,

Last week i purchased this late war heer buckle with blue greyisch paint on it, the whole buckle looks convincing to me, but it doesn't have any markings on it from a manufacterer. And i also don't like the head of the eagle. For the rest i think i have i nice buckle but i want to know for sure that i have a real one, if its fake I can bring it back because i have a money back guarantee.

If needed, i can post additional pictures

    best wishes from holland,

    Karel

Karel, looks genuine enough, have you got a better picture of the eagle, or is yours like this one?

      Hello Karel,

nothing to worry about, your buckle is original and as Ben has already seen it was made by Motz & Co. in Brandenburg

Hi Karel, I will give you three options, it could be a Motz buckle, JC Maedicke or a Schmole & Comp, my own personal opinion would lean towards a Schmole & Comp, first up Maedicke

                          Karel,

glad the Forum was of some help.

                          Ben,

why your opinion would lean towards Schmole & Comp. ?

Btw, we already know that Motz and Maedicke shared the same buckle.

Just due to the catch and it being a late war buckle
