    Fergus,

the best way is to avoid fake buckles : better be worry than sorry

If you have any doubt before purchasing, post some pics on WAF and probably you will save your money

    Best

      Situation update.

I have been in contact by e-mail to the person I originally sold the repro/fake buckle to and I have been assured, that it was a mistake during the listing on ebay and that it was the wrong buckle that was listed. When the mistake was realised, the would be buyer was informed by the seller and no money exchanged hands. I have also been assured that the repro/fake buckle has since been removed from ebay and has now been placed into his fakes collection.
I have seen the positive feedback on ebay (100%), this combined with his explanation, leads me to believe that, an honest mistake has been made in this case.
I would like to thank everybody who has helped with information etc, relating to this matter, also for future members reference, I posted photos of this particular buckle (November 2007) in the fake ss buckles reference databank.
I hope that this updated information clarifies and concludes this unfortunate incident.
      Many thanks,
      Fergus.
