    Identification

As I posted on another section of the forum I am trying to identify some items brought home from my grandfather during WWII. Would anyone know what type of belt this is?

    Thank you,
    Jack T

Apologize for the quality of the pictures, I had to take regular photos and scan them.

        Hello Jack,

The belt you are posting is a normal SA beltbuckle and belt.
The buckle is a two part construction type with the rotated swastica.
        Pieter.

P.S. not rare but nice with the original belt.

          Thank you for the identification.

Don't pounce on my lack of knowledge, I'm just getting started figuring out what is in my grandfather's trunk, but what does SA stand for?

          thanks,
          Jack

            Sa dagger

SA stands for 'Sturmabteilung', or Storm (assault) section. The SA, also known as the brownshirts, were initially the 'strong arm' of the NSDAP, and later provided other services to the party and military. It was a very large organization in its heyday.

Thank you for the information Erich. That helps explain the SA symbol on another item I have.

Could someone please PM with a value opinion on this belt. I'm not interested in selling it but would like to find out the value.

              thanks
