    Reichsbanner buckle

Hey gang! Here's one I just received from Sven (Thanks buddy)! You don't find these examples that often so I was quite happy to be able to acquire this piece and add it to my collection...Thought I'd post some pics...

    Cheers!

Here you can see the wear to the pebbling around the motto:

Apologies for wading in a little late on this thread.

Super buckle, however - those claws and pin !!

Discussed so many times on the forum and a complete agreement (I think), that they are an original oddity. Another buckle type to add to the list of those which display this distinct arrangement and a similar box reverse.

      Regards,

      David

Hello David! No apologies necessary buddy! Glad you like the buckle. I picked it up off Sven's site. I love these "different" type of buckles. Yes, those prongs are certainly different from what I'm used to seeing. Would we not see these on SA type buckles also?
        Cheers!

Very nice variant ! I have three Reichsbanner in my collection - and they are all different. Does anybody have some more Reichsbanner or maybe Rotfrontkämpfer Bund ?

David has shown in a past thread many different buckles bearing the same odd claws and pin, too many to still have doubts about originality.
Rob's one is another nice confirmation IMO.

Btw, welcome to the new member Thomas

Thanks David! Real neat! I love the possibility that these prongs were hand made in some type of manner - that no two are alike!
                COOL!
                Thanks again!
