Yes, I believe that is what he is saying. SS markings within a diamond shape are not original.... ever.

SS Officer Belt Buckles

I've recently seen a couple of SS Officer Buckles for sale by a well-known dealer and I'm a bit leery about them. They both had the marking SS in a diamond similar to the marking on the fake enlisted buckles. Does the Officer SS in a diamond different from the Enlisted SS in a diamond or is the officer models fakes also?
