    That´s it. The construction.
It is not long ago, Ric told / show us one SA
buckle with the same construction and he
know the maker. I can´t find the thread.

You are absolutely correct with the SA buckle. But Ric did not know the maker at that time since it was an unmarked SA. But cut out was identical to the SS buckle as well as its post sleeve.

                Ric -

Totally agree with your statement above. I am hopeful that perhaps you still have the article that was written by JP over on GDC re the FAT EAGLE buckle. It would be great if the article was appended to this thread or perhaps a pinned thread on discussing the various SS buckle manufacturers and their manufacturing techniques.

                Thanks

What would be the need to repost something which was an error? Years later I posted an update reattributing this buckle to another maker NOT Paul Meybauer. You can find the correct name in my ultimate list.

JP - I might have misread the what was stated and I was under the belief that you had updated the aforementioned article with a "more accurate" update. If the update also contains misinformation then please ignore the request.

I do not exactly remember what was included in this update but based on the date I wrote the post it was also for sure related to this original mistake. It took us several years before we were able to see our first HJ buckle made by Giesse & Schmidt (it was posted by Chad Williams in a post related to HJ buckles and UE numbers) which definitively put an end to the PM name. But it was years later. I wrote a full new article at that time apologizing for our mistake, stating as well what brought us to this confusion. Search Giesse & Schmidt, Rhula and you should find it everything.
