    Dj m4/34

    hello

I'd like to know your opinion on this DJ buckle with paper tag.

Are the prongs particular to this maker ?
They are very flat at the end.

    thank you
    regards
    Emmanuel

    Hello,

this is a very nice buckle with rare markings. The manufacturer is Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen. You can see it by the prongs and by the catch.
Here are a few images of my example.

    Regards

    Heiko

this buckle is quite interesting.... this maker is known and absolutely has the strange manufacturing trait of having flat cut prongs..I have identfied many unmarked buckles to be by this maker because of the prongs another trait is the strange small footed catch, also commonly seen by this manufacturer... I do believe your buckle to be original. It is only the second one i have ever seen.... one thing to not eis the thickness of the prongs, they are very thick in comparison to other buckles...I have about 100 DJ buckles in my collection, and my example of this buckle is the only one I have with an RZM tag... mine is mint like yours as well...thanks for posting it..Chad

Sturm is correct about the maker (Karl Wurster) it is important to note that the buckles are marked M4/34 which should be Nordwall Dransfeld & Company Menden..there was alot of confusion in regards to the regulation of markings at this time..Chad
