My new RZM 24 SS buckle

    Hello,
today I've got this very nice (Ok..It's not a mint one but looks nice doesn't it)

The revere..some little scratches..but I think for a nearly 74 years old item it's ok.

The arched end of the 822/38 are not usual,

Indeed, the 822er buckle is a unusual piece. I think the soldier had to much boredom and he he filed as long as till it was round . But on a leather belt it looks very nice..

Impossible. In such case the buckle is out, not in. Could stress the post sleeve assembly and catch but not the edges.

It's not on the photos..but here it is .
It's a zinc piece made by E. Jüttner Lüdenscheid

@JP...that seems to be my 822 buckle..but I've trade it with a German colletor.

Does not seem - it is (you can check elongated vertical scratches on right side). I owned this buckle for few years (obtained Thanks to my friend MajorPLM) then sold it in 2005 (do not remember to who). The grinding on both sides was made on purpose. You can see remaining black marks from the lines the "culprit" did follow to do the job (on the back). Why this was done - and when - is still unknown.
