I do not collect SA but IMO it is an original, even with the hammer head eagle

Looks good to me, however polished front side.

        Hello,

no problem with that buckle. That design is often used by overhoff.

        Regards

In my opinion, a rather super SA buckle.

It has the two popular features with collectors of a large, pronounced and detailed eagle, which supports a Sun Wheel swastika.

Heiko - I know what you mean, however I have to disagree with you about this design enjoying an Overhoff und Cie. association. There is an eagle design which is jolly similar to this one and which has a very strong O & C connection. With all due respect, perhaps not this one.

Attached are images of the same design of buckle shown, although being nickle silver on brass.

The buckle and as can be seen is clearly RZM 1 marked. I must admit though, I have never been overly comfortable that this is for Kallenbach, Meyer und Franke (sometimes referred to as Meyer and Franke), despite the mainly accurate RZM M1/1 = RZM 1.

          Regards,

          David

              Hello David,

probably you are right with the design but it looks really very similar with the overhoff design.
Here are some images of a buckle out my collection. I think the maker of that buckle is Overhoff because it has the design and the typical prong cut.

              Best Regards

              Heiko

This quite specific design is what I tend to associate with O & C.

Many thanks for showing your Overhoff SA. Here is another one which displays the first series RZM for O & C.

                            Regards,
