    KM buckle

    Hi all,

I still wanted to hear your opinion on this buckle. I believe it is a KM buckle. It has much remains of blue-grey paint.

    Kind regards,

and this blue -grey paint was used by many buckle manufacturers since end of 43 instead the field grey colour

So this kind of paint is no proof, that these buckles were only used in the KM..they were also made for WH-troops.

        BTW...I like this buckle.

          Hello,
Is that not a CT Dicke buckle? I have a gold KM (brass-plated steel) one with the same crank catch marked CTD 1942. I also have a Luftwaffe (blue steel) one with the same catch marked CTD 43. I am not aware that Aurich produced the crank-catch variety, I could very well be wrong, though.

There is much debate on wether these blue buckles were KM or late war, the normal KM buckle as we know can be gold, battleship grey, green, blue but normally have a tab with the KM mark on it. There is no concrete proof as yet to say that blue buckles were actually KM. Hope this helps?
