Last up is, again, similar to the two previously shown but for whatever reason was painted black. If anyone can explain the rationale to the painting of black it would be greatly appreciated.

Ron,

Super buckle with the squared gear teeth and rare. As I recall the lettering and backing behind the swastika were also found blackened providing a truly pronounced contrast to the nickle roundle. Great buckle.

A remarkable selection of NSBO buckles, one and all.

Perhaps we can keep this thread moving and active by the addition of other (even duplicate) NSBO buckles, held by other forum members. I will try and add a few more in the next few days.

In the meantime, I have taken the liberty of re posting (for easier and better viewing) Heiko's rather splendid and eccentrically set roundel NSBO, which appears to be in a quite super condition.
