How rare a maker is this?

Hey gang....I guess I should be directing this question to Ben - but I'd love your opinions...I have just received a belt and buckle. The buckle is tab marked Lenkwerk Bruder Schneider AG from Wien....I'm just wondering if this was a small time manufacturer (M4/93) or if they didnt' make many buckles as I haven't seen this maker before?

THe buckle is mouse grey/battleship grey (feldgrau?) and the tab is double stamped (once in each direction!) Belt is also well mared but can't really make out the manufacturer. Date is 1941. I believe the date on the buckle tab is 1940.

Anyhoot...Here are some pics! Thanks for any info you may have on this maker....Could be a common maker - but I just don't recognize it!

    Thanks! Cheers!

OK......This is odd! I was going over the Hallmarks on the tab again and both are from the same manufacturer - but I have noticed also that one is from 1940, but the other stamp is dated 1942.....any opinions on why they would have "re-stamped" this buckle two years later?

I think this is actually kind of cool - I just hope my eyes aren't playing tricks on me!

      Cheers!

          Hello,
I've seen this maker's buckle several times here in germany, but most of the buckles had been in a bad condition..but IMO this maker is more rare than makers of the Town Lüdenscheid.

Here you can see my Heer buckle made by Schneider, I've also a nice Luft and a nice HJ buckle made by Schneider Wien.

Very nice buckles guys! It's just a maker that I don't see too often - so I didn't know. What I do like about the hallmarks are the two different dates....if only this thing could talk!! This is my only buckle that is stamped with two different years - so I like it!

Thanks again for the help guys!

                      Cheers!
