    Typical Prices for Heer Brocades

I am curious as to the average price of a complete Heer Brocade these days, which has no oxidation or damage. I am kinda out of touch on these.

    regards
    Paul

Depending on condition, size, and quality of brocade... $300 - $400.

Sorry for the imageshack. This was the best way to post the clearest details. So you are saying the 3-400 dollars is a good price?

                Regards

                  Paul,

Is the backing on the belt gray or green?

                    Hi!

It appears to be a grayish green. Did they make both a gray and a green?

                    Regards

Yes, a field gray gaberdine (which I believe is what you are showing) was the earlier type brocade, basically from 1937-39. The later brocade was to be constructed with a velvet type backing and I have only seen this in a dark green. Perhaps others can provide input on this.

The brocade you show has the aluminum starting to fray so I would say that the lower end scale is what I might pay. You might be able to pick them up cheaper as the Heer Brocades are readily available and easy to acquire. This is of course just my opinion.

                          Paul,

You can also look out on other dealer sites to see what they are asking and adjust accordingly as they usually run high.

                            Thanks Dan,

Looking at the dealer sites was the first thing that I did. No one seems to be selling Heer Brocades at this moment, so no comparisions...

Based on estand sales that I have seen, they are going $225 - $250
