SS Officers

Hi guys, something different for me really, I have got an SS Officers buckle!!! (I know its not an Heer one) I traded it with Musketeer for a spare Heer buckle that I had. It was found by a metal detector in Berlin. The maker is Emil Juttner. It is not in mint condition but it is still very good and the first one I have ever owned. I was very suprised how small they are, for some reason I expected them to be a little bigger

It was found by a metal detector in Berlin.

Ben, can you imagine what happened if you walk with a metalldetektor through Berlin?
I think, than I can't join this forum for a long while..

This item was found 60km south from Berlin.

Hey guys -

I think this is great that Ben might now be turning his attention to Officer buckles or perhaps the SS buckles. He now has two Officer buckles that I know of -the SS and a Heer brocade! Funny thing about buckle collecting; it is similar to a good beer - you can't drink just one!

Be careful Ric! Digging in the German state Brandenburg is inadvisable!

Yes Ben...Now it is strictly forbidden...but at that time as I've been there, nobody cares...they had had other problems..
