Hitlers belt buckle?

Hi guys, this is a question I've been thinking about for a long time, and I hope anyone has an answer.

It seems like he wore some sort of "traditional-german" buckle during the early years, but switched to the Sam Browne-style later. Anyway, what kind of belt buckle did Hitler wear?

Hitler wore the standard SA belt buckle at the beginning. That is the kind of buckle that is pictured in the photos you have supplied. Hope that answers your question.

I dont know any answer for sure but in most pictures in the books I have about WW2 he is wearing a normal double claw buckle.

As already said, Hitler had the standard SA buckle. On most of the photo I know it is one with the round swastika. Later he wore the normal double claw.

From an unknown date around 1938/39 he also used brocade belt. Unfortunetly not very often.
I'm still looking for a good photo of Hitler with his brocade. From the known photos it is not possible to identify the buckle.

Soon or late a photo will appear.
I have a DVD with contemporary colour films. It looks like his brocade is silver with two golden stripes. The buckle seems to be golden as well...
