Is this a German police baton?

Hello forum...

I had this for about a year...

It was found with some German insignia, along with a helmet. It was a vet estate purchase.

I am sure the leather cross strap is German, to a Jagaer regiment?

But... I think the baton is German too? I would assume it's from a policeman?

It does appear to be an American baton... which tend to be longer.

Let me know what this small lot is worth... and then it goes up on Estand.
