This is my new buckle: tropical Heer GB 41.

a question: It seems that a lot of tropical GB 41 like mine have the prongs made of aluminium.

is it special for tropical theater to prevent rust under the belt or is it just to use the stock of prongs of the old product ?

Very nice buckle Emanuel I have its twin, and I like the theory on the Aluminium prongs, never looked at it that way

I guess Gustav Brehmer Firma used an old stock of alu prongs still available.

for lars: yes , this eagle is "monté comme un âne" , French expression, in english it could be "equiped like a donkey"
